Questions we are usually asked

Can results stand up to an audit? That is the point of building them properly. Scoring rules, attempt limits and pass thresholds are explicit, and results are recorded so completion and competence can be evidenced later.

Can we use our existing question bank? Usually. Questions held in spreadsheets or documents can normally be imported rather than retyped.

Does it have to live inside an LMS? No. Assessments can run standalone, though results are more useful when they feed a dashboard alongside the rest of a learner's record.

Can we mark written answers by hand? Yes. Multiple choice and structured formats grade automatically; written work can route to an instructor for manual marking with the score joining the same record.

Can we stop people sharing answers? Partly, and we would be honest about the limits. Randomised questions, timers and attempt limits raise the cost of cheating considerably, but no online assessment removes it entirely.

Defensible scoring, not just a quiz widget

For compliance and certification use cases, a quiz result has to hold up to scrutiny — a scoring rule that's ambiguous, or a pass threshold nobody can explain after the fact, undermines the whole point of testing.
