Service at a glance
Google.de | DSGVO-Aware | Mittelstand SEO
Germany is Europe's largest economy, and its search market rewards precision and evidence over persuasion. German B2B buyers in particular — a market dominated by the Mittelstand, the specialised mid-sized manufacturers and engineering firms that form the backbone of the economy — expect detailed technical information before they will even consider making contact. A page built for a softer, sales-led market tends to read as untrustworthy here.
Keyword research does not survive a straight translation
German compound nouns behave very differently from English keyword structures — a single German word can encode what would be three or four words in English, and search volume distributes accordingly. Translating an English keyword list produces phrases a translator would choose, not the terms a German buyer actually types. We research natively from German search data and verify with a native speaker before content is written.
How we read German competitors
We build the competitor set from businesses actually ranking on Google.de in your sector, not an assumed international shortlist. Screaming Frog shows how their sites are technically structured; Semrush and Ubersuggest set to Google.de estimate keyword overlap and difficulty. German industry associations and trade publications are unusually influential here, and understanding who a competitor is cited by often explains their ranking better than their on-page content alone.
Data privacy is not a footnote in Germany
Germany treats data protection more seriously and more visibly than most European markets — DSGVO (the German implementation of GDPR) compliance is a genuine trust signal that German buyers actively check for, not just a legal requirement to satisfy quietly. SEO and analytics implementations here need to be built with that scrutiny in mind from the start.
Authority, AEO and the fundamentals
Genuine authority in Germany comes from industry associations (Verbände), trade press, Handelskammer (chamber of commerce) listings, and technical documentation substantial enough to be cited by others in the sector. AEO depends on the same precision German buyers already expect — clean schema, direct answers, and information that is consistent everywhere it appears. Technical SEO and on-page SEO remain the foundation underneath all of it.
