A showcase compliance course covering cybersecurity awareness, built to demonstrate the tracking and reporting that compliance and L&D teams need — not a client engagement, and no real organisation's policies or incident data are represented in it.

Why compliance training is a different build to onboarding

A general onboarding course only needs to show that someone opened it. Compliance training usually has to prove something to an auditor: that a specific person, in a specific role, completed a specific version of the material by a deadline, and scored above a defined threshold on the questions that test it. That changes what the course and the tracking layer both need to do.

What the showcase covers

• Scenario-based questions rather than pure recall — e.g. "you receive this email, what do you do?" — because compliance failures are usually judgement failures, not knowledge gaps
• Scored quizzes with a defined pass mark, and a retry path rather than a single attempt
• SCORM / xAPI progress and completion tracking recording who started, who finished, what they scored, and when — the data an audit trail actually needs, not just a completion flag
• Reporting structured for compliance sign-off: exportable per-learner records rather than a dashboard summary that has to be manually re-typed into an audit report

This is the same tracking discipline behind every course we build for regulated training — cybersecurity awareness, data-protection refreshers, health-and-safety modules — where the course content is only half the deliverable and the reporting is the other half.

One thing we deliberately did not do in this showcase: pad it with slides that exist only to look thorough. A compliance course that takes 45 minutes but only tests 10 minutes of judgement is worse for completion rates than a tighter 20-minute course that tests the same 10 minutes properly — and completion rates are, in the end, what an auditor is actually going to ask about.
