AI Workspace UI — Concept Demo
A self-built concept demo of an AI generation workspace — prompt input, output gallery and an iterate/regenerate loop — not a client project.
What this page is: A concept demo we designed in-house to explore this problem space. It is not a client project.
This is a self-built concept demo of an AI generation workspace — not a client project, and no production AI service runs behind it. It explores the interaction loop most AI tools share: a prompt input, a results gallery, and a fast iterate-and-regenerate cycle that doesn't lose the user's place in their previous attempts.
What the demo works through
- A prompt input that keeps history — previous prompts and their results stay reachable rather than disappearing the moment a new generation starts
- A results gallery that makes comparison easy: seeing this attempt next to the last one, not just the newest result replacing everything before it
- Loading and latency states that are honest about what's happening — AI generation is rarely instant, and a UI that hides that badly reads as broken rather than slow
- A regenerate/iterate action that's one click from any past result, so refining an idea doesn't mean re-typing the whole prompt from scratch
What makes this class of interface harder than a normal form-and-results pattern is the variability: the same prompt structure can return a good result or a poor one, so the UI has to make it cheap to try again rather than assuming the first attempt is the final answer.
This is close to the real interface problem behind our AI Tutor & RAG Learning Assistant work — a chat-style answer loop that has to stay grounded in course content rather than free-form generation, with the same need to show its working and let a learner ask a follow-up rather than start over. See how that grounding actually works in our AI tutor demo.
No production AI model runs behind this demo — the generation loop is stubbed for the purposes of testing the interaction pattern, not the underlying model quality, which is a different problem with a different set of trade-offs.
